Peter C. Correa Announced as President of CTU North Kansas City Campus
Colorado Technical University announced the appointment of Peter C. Correa as president of its North Kansas City campus. A retired Army Lieutenant Colonel of 24 years, Correa has served as a dean and professor of business for CTU in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and comes directly to Kansas City from Denver, Colorado where he presently serves as director of CTU's Westminster campus.

Free Blood Pressure Checks and Stroke Education
The Student Nurse Association, a group of practical nursing students on the North Kansas City campus, is conducting free blood pressure checks and stroke education as their community education project during the month of August. Students, faculty and staff members and visitors to the campus are welcome to visit the group and learn about this health issue during the week of August 20 at noon in the front lobby of the university.
Nutrition and Health Matters is the topic of the next community education project, scheduled for the fall.
Interested persons should contact Penny Baylie, practical nursing program chair, at 816-472-7400, to learn more about the Student Nurse Association, their projects and the practical nursing program.

Scholarships Awarded

Campus Awards over $24,000 in Scholarships
Colorado Technical University, North Kansas City, MO campus, awarded more than $24,000 in scholarships to 15 current students. Awards ranged from $390 to $2000 each, depending on the student need. Funding for the scholarships came from the CESF, Career Education Scholarship Fund, supported by Career Education Corporation and its employees.
